Bruce Centurino is an engineering professional with a strong technical background and a deep understanding of the electrical utility industry. Mr. Centurino has over 19 years of power system experience with expertise in both transmission system planning and operations engineering. Mr. Centurino joined Utility System Efficiencies, Inc. (USE) in 2010 as a Senior Power Systems Engineer. At USE, Mr. Centurino has assisted multiple clients performing and reviewing System Impact Studies (SIS) and deliverability studies with the majority of work centered on renewable generation. Mr. Centurino is proficient in solar and wind modeling, has helped utilities develop procedures for requesting and properly modeling the renewable generation, and has successfully assisted clients through the California Energy Commission’s (CEC) Application for Certification (AFC) process.

While at ZGlobal, Inc. from 2008-2010, Mr. Centurino assisted client with many different facets of the planning process, helped clients to review potential generation sites by identifying the site and determining the best interconnection options.

While at the California Independent System Operator from 2002-2008 as the primary operation engineer for the San Diego Gas and Electric Company (SDG&E) system, Mr. Centurino performed GE PSLF power flow analysis, analyzed the SDG&E system using SDG&E Transmission Network Analysis and the CAISO Network Applications, and provided real time dispatcher support. Mr. Centurino was responsible for daily outages as well as updating the generation requirements and system de-rates annually. Mr. Centurino also assisted other operations engineers with SCE daily outages and annual studies and became the engineering lead for supporting the MRTU.
